The First Order’s Upsilon Shuttles are designed with maximum protection in mind for VIPs and high ranking officers. The heavily armored ship is “lightly” armed with only 2 heavy laser cannons, but the wings are crammed with defensive systems, jamming systems, boosted shields, and advanced sensor suits.
Kylo Ren used this craft in the assaults on Tuanul, Takodana, and Crait.
A few months before the release of The Force Awakens this shuttle appeared in an early teaser trailer. It was also included in a set of blueprints released about the same time. Now, while I was itching to make some models from this new movie, I was also adamant about avoiding spoilers. Do you have any idea how hard it is to read a blueprint, while covering your eyes to avoid spoilers?
