Bo-Katan Kryze
Sabine Wren is known for three things: Being an artist, a demolitions specialist, and a Mandalorian Warrior. She was a cadet in the imperial academy and was posted to a weapons factory. She naively thought she was making the tools which would bring peace to the galaxy. But once her weapons were used against her own people. she deserted the Empire and joined Captain Syndulla and the crew of The Ghost. Her artistic style would become a symbol of resistance and hope.
Bo-Katan Kryze was a member of Death Watch during the Clone Wars. She helped Sabine destroy the weapon used against Mandalor. After their victory, Sabine gave her the Darksaber which made her leader of Mandalore.
When I do workshops at Star Wars events, I usually teach people how to make Lightsabers, The Fett helmet, and sometimes a third model. At one of these events a young girl asked if she could make Sabine instead of Jango or Boba Fett. I said “Sure… they’re the same” and I gave her a pink piece of paper. Man did she give me an earful. “Her eyes are more slanted. This isn’t Sabine, it’s just a pink Jango Fett”. So I had to make the appropriate adjustments on the spot. She was thrilled and I got a new model to add to my collection.
