Havoc Marauder

Omicron-class Republic era shuttles had a crew of 2 to 5 depending on the mission, and could carry as many as 20 troopers with equipment. They were armed with 3 laser cannons, depending instead on escort craft for protection.
The Havoc Marauder was a modified Omicron-class shuttle. She was used by special force Group 99, the ‘Bad Batch’, after the fall of the republic.
I was around the 4th or 5th episode of The Bad Batch where we finally got a good look at this ship. Up to that point, it was just quick close ups or head on shots. Then for the first time the ship made a long pass on the screen and I was impressed by the elegant shape of her wings. I thought it was beautiful, and suddenly I was inspired to make an origami version.
I spent about 3 weeks working on it trying to get the upper wing just right. I tried dozens of attempts using a crane base, fish base, stretched bird base…. but couldn’t get that dorsal wing to work. I finally found success with the base I’d used for the Actis Interceptor and TIE Silencer. It makes the model slightly more complex, but you can’t argue with the results.
