I created
the Kaadu figure while trying to make a turkey centerpiece for our Thanksgiving
Day feast at work. Instead, I made a half kaadu, half mutant turkey. With
a little tweaking, I came up with the model you see here. The kaadu figure
is one I never seem to be finished toying with. I keep making minor adjustments
and additions. That's one of the beautiful things about origami; there's always
room for improvment.
Kaadu are wingless birds
with scaly tan and white skin. They are sure footed, have sharp hearing and
an excellent sense of smell. While they are now adapted to life on land, they
evolved from aquatic origins and can still breath underwater for short periods.
The Gungans use the kaadu as mounts for their security forces and armies.
